Frequent Squirrel Tales contributer and encourager, Jeanne Bucci—mom of survivor Daniel sent along some pictures of her community's Relay for Life event. The Bucci's found themselves on TV and the event raised over $5,000! On TV! Our son David is a 2½ year survivor of sarcoma. We have participated in the relay for life event for the last 3 years. We have found the relay for life event a wonderful way to fight cancer. I pray each time we participate we are that much closer to a cure and another mother does not have to hear her child has cancer. We have used the survivor theme as well and my son also made an immunity necklace. My son David is 14 years old and he raised $400.00 himself so that children with cancer can go to camp and forget they have cancer, even if for a short time. I hope every parent and child participate in the Relay for Life event it will change your life.
