Welcome to The Never-Ending Squirrel Tale Web Site

From CancerCare:
CancerCare will be starting a free telephone support group for parents of child with a cancer diagnosis. The support group is set up like a conference call and meets on a weekly basis for 12 weeks and is moderated by a social worker.

We have found this medium to be helpful for clients in the past, as we know parents of a child with a cancer diagnosis are often extremely busy and are often unable to get out and connect to other parents. The group focuses on the emotional impact of having a child with cancer and gives parents the opportunity to connect with others who know what its like to be in their shoes in a setting that is both confidential and therapeutic.

If you would like to post this group on your website please have all interested clients contact: Brooke Mann, oncology social worker at CancerCare at #800-813-4673 x8365. We will be starting the group in early January. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Brooke Mann, LMSW

Parents—please give this a look; it will be worth your effort:
Dear Debora,
I have written a children's book on leukemia from our experience with childhood cancer. We would like to get it self published to help kids understand what leukemia is and battle the psycological difficulties of going through chemotherapy with a positive outlook. Please read the book on our website: www.chemo-to-the-rescue.com and let me know what you think. I need some incouragement to make the next step. Thank you!

A young lady (age 16) named contacted me and I put her email on the Guestbook. She's part of a project offering free photoshoots to children suffering life-threatening illness. Ultimately, it is to bring more awareness to the diseases, but if you're interested, please contact her. She has a website as well as a page on MySpace showcasing her work.
